Up and Up Education (高升教育) is a K–12 tutoring academy operating at 6305 18th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11204. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through upupeducation.com and in connection with our tutoring services.

2. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly when you:
- Book a consultation (name, email, phone, grade level, subject of interest, and any notes you share).
- Message us through our website chat, email, or phone.
- Enroll a student (billing information is handled by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers).
We also collect limited information automatically when you visit the site — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time on page — via privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Schedule and deliver tutoring services.
- Respond to your questions and follow up on consultations.
- Send scheduling reminders, progress updates, and important notices about your child's instruction.
- Improve our website and programs.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing email or text messages without your explicit opt-in.
4. Children's privacy (under 13)
Because we serve K–12 students, we may knowingly collect information about children under 13 — but only with verifiable parental consent, and only for the purpose of delivering tutoring. See our COPPA Notice for details on how we handle children's information.
5. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers required to operate our business, under contracts that restrict how they use the information:
- Cal.com — consultation scheduling.
- Tawk.to — live chat widget on our website.
- HubSpot — customer relationship management (contact records for families we serve).
- Google Workspace — email and document storage.
- Vercel / Webflow — website hosting.
We will disclose information if required by law (for example, in response to a subpoena or court order).
6. How long we keep information
We keep family and student records for as long as you are an active client and for up to seven (7) years after your last session for tax, legal, and academic-reference purposes. You may request earlier deletion of your records (see Section 8).
7. How we protect information
We use industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, access controls for staff, and secure cloud providers for storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate technical and administrative measures.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what personal information we have about you or your child.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your records (subject to our legal obligations to retain certain information).
- Stop sending you communications at any time.

9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify active clients by email.
